Bert Gevers & Aude Mahy to speak at VBO/FEB – ICC Belgium seminar on CETA

We are very pleased to announce our involvement in the VBO/ICC Belgium seminar on CETA to be held in Brussels on 25 September 2017.

The seminar will kick off with a high-level introduction by the Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Didier Reynders, the Canadian Ambassador to Belgium H.E. Olivier Nicoloff and the Deputy Director-General of the European Commission’s DG Trade, Mauro Petriccione.

After the introdution three parallel interactive workshops will follow during which experts will cover the specific details of how and under what conditions CETA facilitates trade and creates new opportunities.

Bert Gevers (Partner, International Trade) and Aude Mahy (Counsel, Food Law) will team up with renowned European and Canadian experts to discuss the impact of CETA on the agrifood-sector and outline the various opportunities of CETA, as well as the remaining hurdles under national regulations in both the EU and Canada. The workshop is sponsored by FEVIA, the Belgian Federation for the Food Industry.
