Cross-Border and Borderless Employment in the Netherlands & Belgium
Belgium and the Netherlands. Two friendly neighbours who greet each other daily and share the best they have to offer: chocolate, beer, cheese and waffles. What is more, Belgium is one of the most important export markets for the Netherlands and Belgium is one of the largest investors in the Netherlands.
Despite all of this, cross-border employment remains a complex issue. The differences between both countries are substantial, especially in the areas of labour law and tax legislation.
That is why, starting in October 2017, we will host a four-part workshop on ‘Cross-Border and Borderless Employment in the Netherlands & Belgium’. The four sessions, each with a different theme, will focus on the interpretation and application of legislation affecting international mobility between Belgium and the Netherlands. No matter your field, whether it involves the tax, employment or social security side of international mobility, you and your practice experience will be at the centre of each session.
